WHO IS BEHIND MOMS & TOTS MAGAZINE ?

PATSSILY LASCANO-DJESEVIC, Founder

Patssily Lascano-Djesevic is Founder and Editor of MOMS AND TOTS MAGAZINE (momsandtotsmag.com) an online parenting and lifestyle magazine. Aside from the online magazine, the writers produce a FREE newsletter, and are actively on social media inspiring parents with fun ideas along with delivering daily highlights.

The catalyst to launching MOMS AND TOTS MAGAZINE was Patssily’s very own pint-size perfection, Brandon. He inspired her to pursue her publishing dreams and produce her very own online magazine.

Prior to launching MOMS AND TOTS MAGAZINE, Patssily Lascano-Djesevic worked in the publishing industry for more than fifteen years. Her work experience includes editorial work for magazine and book publishers, marketing and production for a start-up book publisher, new media consulting projects for several publications, and most recently, product management, product design and new media marketing.

She began her career in the editorial department at Condé Nast Traveler magazine as an Editorial Assistant. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia for both pleasure and work-related projects. She lived Paris for a short and memorable period of time, and now resides in New York with her husband and son. Paris will always have a warm place in her heart but New York keeps her heart exhilarated.

MARISSA GUIJARRO, Contributing Editor

Marissa Guijarro has experience in both higher and K-12 education, and currently works as a director of guidance in a suburban public high school. She is active in several professional organizations, including the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the Westchester-Putnam-Rockland Counseling Association. Marissa earned a B.A. from Harvard University and a M.S. Ed. in Counseling from Fordham University.

Denise is a Brooklyn-based working mom with one high-school bound daughter, Leigh, and an upcoming applicant, 6^th grader, Honor. Denise and her husband, Douglas, are parents committed to making the NYC school system more inclusive for students of all abilities.

SHANYNA LASCANO, Editor

Shanyna is a born and raised New Yorker. She graduated from Vassar College. She has worked across a multitude of incredible brands including La Prairie, Tiffany & Co, and Olay to name a few. As a trilingual frequent flier, Shanyna loves to travel any chance she gets. On the weekends you can find her catching up on all the beauty/fashion blogs, brunching at a hot new restaurant in NYC, or spending time with her family who luckily live close by.
